Big Show in NYC on March 9th + Free CD? I'm finally in New York long enough to do a full, headlining set! In fact, this will be my first headlining set in over 6 months, not to mention it's the first since the release of my latest CD, so technically it can be considered the Official New York Release Party for Songs From The Second Floor!
Tickets are only $12 at the door, $10 if you buy in advance. And just because I truly adore all of the people who take the time to stop by my site, I'm going to give a FREE, exclusive live CD-single to anyone who comes to the show and says "Mr. Dobalina" to me afterward (not during the show, please). Hope you can make it! Rob P. Headlines The World @ Broadway Comedy Club A Little Wiggle Room...
Response to my new video The Children's Song has been really great! It's gotten picked up by some cool blogs, been mentioned on the websites of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, TruTV, TV33 in Dallas and also places like Digg and Momlogic! Super props to Jennifer Spragg who played the frazzled mom, and to Matt Klane who was kind enough to pose for the picture as the a-hole husband. If you want to see more from them (with me doing an opening set) check out Hungry Hungry Hobo on March 5 & 6 in NYC! I was interviewed, then released... Before my recent show at Illinois Weslyan, the good peeps from the music site Fresh Scouts caught up with me for an interview. I think they did a lovely job of putting it together and it turned out quite nicely. Check it out! And if you haven't yet seen the nerd-core throw-down:
My latest video on YouTube is one of my favorite new songs from the new CD, Pushing Band Candy. It explores the dark side of music department fundraisers, and yes, I actually rap. Consider it acoustic nerdcore for marching band geeks. Represent! It's been getting a great response so far on YouTube, so check it out, leave a comment, and send it to your friends! We've spruced things up a bit...And hopefully you've noticed we've spruced some of our inner pages up a bit, as well as updating them after realizing how painfully out of date some of them were. We've updated and organized the video section with a ton of embedded video, including my performance of Particle Board from Comedy Central's Premium Blend, (also available at Jokes.com), and we've got the videos categorized a little better. We've also tried to make the photos section a little more spiffy, and now that it's linked to our official flickr page the newest photos will always be available. Yeah! Our calendar section is now linked to our google calendar so that will always be up to date as well. We still haven't gotten to our music page but that's coming next. Stay tuned. Thanks for checking in!As always, there's more stuff at my facebook page, my myspace page (remember myspace? it's still there!) as well as my twitter feed. So many ways to stay in touch. Please do! Thanks for stopping by the site, keep in touch and don't forget to rock on. RobP
